ABOUT THE CLUB

The club was founded in 1987 and was awarded the FA Charter Standard
Development Club by Liverpool County FA in 2002. The Club is an all
inclusive Football Club and provides opportunities for girls, boys, young
people, men and women between the ages of six and eighteen years
of age through to open age for both men and women to receive coaching
and play competitive football.

The Club's teams play in the St Helens Combination League
(open age men), Rainhill (boys), St. Helens JOL (boys), Belle Vale
Leagues (boys) and Links with Girls Teams.

The Club has links with Liverpool Academy and Professional Clubs. All coaching in our Club is carried out by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with
young people in line with our Charter Standard and the Liverpool County FA.

Our home ground is situated on Knowsley Lane (Lord Derby's Memorial Playing Fields) or Twig Lane
(Jubilee Park). We have four pitches and 2 mini-soccer pitches and training areas with changing facilities. We have just had new changing rooms installed with adequate changing for match officials and have a small kitchen and tuck shop. Our Grounds have adequate off road car parking facilities.

Club development is an integral part of The FA's commitment to raising the standards within
the provision of football. The Football Association Charter for Quality recommends that the
player is central to all developmental needs and aspirations. The FA Charter Standard
Clubs; Scheme encapsulates this philosophy by assisting clubs like Knowsley South FC
to provide quality experiences for all players. Liverpool County FA have developed a 3-year
strategic plan to support grass roots clubs including the implementation of the Effective Football Club Administration Scheme, a volunteer strategy, a coach education programme and FA child protection training courses available to all our Coaches team officials and Club officers.

In the continuously changing and fluid environment in which football is developed, it is essential to have this support to equip our football club with the necessary structures to improve standards and remain sustainable.

For the safety and care of your child/young person it is important that you travel to and from all training and football League fixtures both home and away with your child/young person.

The Club values your support at these venues. We are keen to involve parents
children/young people from the community in our club and would like to invite
you to contact the Club's Secretary to find out more about our Club.

Below is some information about training, match days and Club registration.
Training sessions take place weekly the day depends upon the age group. The Coach will notify all parents.

Saturday mornings coaching for 6 and 7 age groups and mini-soccer for under 8, 9 and 10 age groups.

All League and Cup match days are on Sundays: morning for under 12, 14 & 16 age groups and afternoons for under 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18 age groups.

You will have to complete a Parental Consent and Medical information Form for Football Activities together with a Club Permission Form for parent/guardian & young person for the use of photographs and recorded images for registration with the Club. For the safety of your child it is important that the Club is informed of any medical condition or allergies that may be relevant should your child fall ill or be involved in an accident while at the Club.
