Last league game of the season was played out on a nice night at a nice venue in rainhill park.We had beaten rainhill last time 7-0 and i was sure peter would have reminded his team about this and fair play to all the rainhill players they showed alot more steel tonight and played some good football.Ours looked jaded yet once again you have to admire them with the schedule they have had.We started off quite well and a few chances were made.Andrew was injured in school.Kicked in the ribs and alan has assured me he did shout KEEPERS!!!! at the top of his voice.Rainhill took the lead our defence didnt look themselves yet alex and jacob dont play 2 days so you would expect them to be fresh.I will always explain decisions regarding team to players and we created more chances yet couldnt convert The chances to goals ratio is why i signed owen yet ethan connor and warren have all done well in his absence.we went 2 down and i watched with interest how deep they could now dig. They were only playing for pride BUT I ADMIRE A FIGHTING SPIRIT.We got 1 back when callum who never started was told make an impact from the bench struck 1 just before half time.GAME ON. The game was being delayed as if trying to stop us whipping up our storm and we were trailing so we were trying to play at a fast tempo yet we got the equaliser from the usual-enough said.We did press for the winner but it never come despite hitting the woodwork and a few crazy goal mouth scrambles.Rainhill were also never out of the game and played very well tonight and will be disapointed not to have held on for the win.A few points overlooked were connors excellent start and first half and jack was absolutely superb second half when out of goal.Shouting first time tackling He has shown jacob and alex a great example the last 2 games.I have had jack since under 8s and there have been more false dawns than I care to remember yet overall he is going the right way.Robbie needs to stop jinxing him.GOALS callum 1 will 1.MAN OF THE MATCH PICKED OUT BY MY WIFE AND MIKE TONIGHT JACK AGAIN well done jack.COMMITMENT BEYOND QUESTION THE RIGHT BALANCE OF AGRESSION AND CONTROL FOR DEFENCE. MIKE HAS YET TO GIVE ME HIS VERDICT FOR THE FINAL YET HAS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT THE UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF FOOTBALL WE HAVE HAD TO PLAY.come on knowsley NO COME ON KNOWSLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
